Please tell us about your company's origin and business.
ROCOCO DÉCOR is a wallpaper manufacturing company founded in 2020 during the pandemic. My brother, who was technically trained, led production and I took charge of sales using my network and experience. We then hired a designer, Petra. The three of us started the company.
What inspired you to install the DIMENSE?
Following Marriott's announcement in 2019 of its shift to eco-friendly management, hotel groups began quickly adopting eco-friendly materials. I was the CEO of a company that supplied cosmetics to hotels at the time and observed these industry changes up close. Around that time, my brother came across DIMENSE on display at an exhibition in Amsterdam (FESPA) and immediately contacted me. We felt that this innovative solution, which combines eco-friendly printing technology with the unique expressiveness of three-dimensional textures, had great advantages and potential in the interior decoration market. We almost immediately decided to install the machine. We gave birth to the wallpaper brand ROCOCO DÉCOR by DIMENSE.
What difficulties did you encounter in the process of launching your DIMENSE business?
Life is unpredictable. Just as we were about to spread our wings and take off with DIMENSE, my brother unfortunately passed away from illness. It felt like the end of the world at that moment. But at the same time, it gave me strong motivation to accomplish this new challenge for his honor and our family. To get the DIMENSE business off the ground, I and designer Petra continued to work day and night to meet the challenges of design, production, sales and installation. We also collaborated with reliable partners for production and installation to establish a cooperation system. We succeeded in establishing the ROCOCO DÉCOR brand in the Croatian market. It has been a journey filled with deep emotion.
How do you position the ROCOCO DÉCOR brand?
Our first client was the five-star Hotel Veladrion. The project involved the production of approximately 300 ㎡ of wallpaper, and although there was some trial and error in the production, we felt a definite sense of satisfaction with the performance of the work and the reaction from customers. We positioned ROCOCO DÉCOR as a premium wallpaper brand. Our main customers are high-end hotels, luxury residences, and clinics, and these achievements prove the quality and uniqueness of our service, which is also a great advantage when attracting new customers.
What is the key to persuading clients?
To understand exactly what the client wants to fulfill, propose it in tangible form immediately. When we propose ROCOCO DÉCOR, we never just send a quote. We always make sure to turn the client’s ideas into printed samples. Once they receive them, the sales are nearly guaranteed. Although ROCOCO DÉCOR is priced as a premium brand compared to regular wallpaper, the execution and quality of the samples, which reflect the client’s character as well as their style, provide them with a finished image that strongly convinces them.

What are your future plans?
We are focusing on proposing our products to a wider audience by releasing new products for residential use and opening our own gallery. We are also actively working on collaborations with high-end Italian furniture brands and artists since the artistic element is a differentiation point which brings great value to our business. We want to be a creator of trends, not a follower. We will continue to take on innovative challenges.
