Roland DG Managing Director John Wall Appointed President of Visual Connections Board

Sydney, Australia, 8 December, 2021 - Roland DG Corporation, a leading manufacturer of wide format inkjet printers and printer cutters, today announced the appointment of Roland DG’s Managing Director, John Wall, to President of the Visual Connections Ltd Board.

Visual Connections Ltd is a not-for-profit company that was formed in 2015, when the Visual Industry Suppliers Association (VISA) merged with Graphic Arts Merchants Association of Australia (GAMMA). Now the premier association for the suppliers of hardware, software, consumables and ancillary services for the print, graphics and signage industries in Australia, Visual Connections is committed to supporting its members and the industry through education, exhibitions, sponsorship, grants and networking opportunities.

A member of the VISA and now the Visual Connections board for over 17 years, John commenced his tenure soon after he started working for Roland DG Australia in 2004, and hasn’t looked back. “Visual Connections plays a vital role as an industry sounding board, and has long provided the best industry market material, trade shows and events. Sitting on the Board is a great way to get an elevated view and understanding of the sector and where my own company fits, to network with others, and to give back to an industry which welcomed me from outside, allowed me to provide - and receive - support and knowledge. While it's hard work, I'd recommend anyone who enjoys a challenge and making a contribution to look into it.”

Most recently in his role as Vice President, John has been at the forefront of coordinating the industry’s response to the pandemic, and ensuring those impacted have access to the best support available. “I am proud of the way the Visual Connections team have navigated through a challenging couple of years, and optimistic about the future of the print and sign industry. After a couple of postponements, we are looking forward to seeing everyone in person at our biggest trade show, PacPrint, in Melbourne from June 28, 2022 and steering the association as we look to the possibilities the future may hold.”
