Roland DG Australia Announces 2020 Academy Training Dates

Sydney, Australia, February 5, 2020 – Roland DG Australia, a leading provider of wide format inkjet printers and printer cutters for the professional durable graphics market, has released 2020 dates for the Roland DG Academy training course, VersaWorks: Beyond the Basics.

VersaWorks: Beyond the Basics has been developed to improve users’ knowledge of VersaWorks, Roland DG’s dedicated RIP software, increasing the efficiency and productivity of their output. Following on from last year's successful training sessions, whereby we accredited more than 70 students in 9 sessions across the country, the course will be held once again in 2020.

Since its inception in 2009, Roland DG’s VersaWorks Academy training courses have accredited almost 700 students. Over 95% of those surveyed have said they would recommend the course to others, with many providing positive feedback on how relevant, informative and easy-to-understand the course is.

Last year, Shannon at IG Design Group said: "This is one of the better seminars I've participated in. I have a keen interest in the subject so I got a lot out of [the trainer’s] distinct knowledge and experience in the program and the usability of the printer". Steve Wallis from Industrial Labelling Solution agreed that the course was very beneficial: "Very informative session. Well run, great detail. Certainly covered a lot of elements I had never looked at… awesome job."

Run by our expert Roland DG trainers, students will learn on Roland DG-supplied laptops in classes of 8 or less, with the trainer working closely with students to develop their skills and knowledge of VersaWorks. The main areas covered in the course are:

  • Colour management
  • Printer calibration, set up and maintenance
  • Settings and features including variable data, custom cut, step and repeat, and special colour plate generation
