Body of Work Wins Coveted International Awards

Sydney, Australia, July 15, 2014 -The Printing Industries of America recently announced that Australian design house, Body of Work, headed up by internationally acclaimed photographer Bob Armstrong, has been awarded a record 17 "Benny" awards in the 2014 competition.

The American Premier Print Awards, which were established 65 years ago, are the industry's premium international award attracting the best- of-breed work from around the world. The Benny has become a universally recognised symbol for excellence within the printing industry.

Body of Work has now accumulated 31 Benny's in the last three years including two successive awards for "Best of Show" from almost 4,000 international entries. The "Best of Show" award for 2014 will be decided at the formal presentation in Chicago in September. This year all 42 Body of Work entries won awards (17 First, 14 second, 11 third).

Many of Armstrong's Benny Award-winning works, including the 2013 Best in Show Calendar, the Art Prints, and Self-Promotion Book Cover, were printed on a Roland VersaUV® LEJ-640 UV-LED wide format printer - a device the photographer relies on to produce flawless one-offs of original masterpieces from his renowned "Body of Work" collection. Incredible precision, exceptional detail and vibrant colour are essential elements for each of Armstrong's prints, which sell for $25,000 and up. And, according to Armstrong, the LEJ-640 delivers on all of these fronts. "When we started Body of Work, our goal was to produce the best printed product in the world," said Armstrong. "In order to accomplish that, I knew that we would need a large-format printer capable of replicating all of the unique qualities, colours and subtleties of my original photos. The LEJ-640 has been able to do all that...and more."

Armstrong's Body of Work is the product of collective talent combined with state-of-the-art technologies, including the innovative features and capabilities of Roland's advanced LEJ-640 printer. Working closely with the team at Roland DG Australia, Armstrong set out to achieve his goals and was able to explore and push the creative boundaries of wide format printing. Armstrong is quick to point out that this collaborative effort has produced extraordinary results, setting a "new benchmark for the development and application of original creative directions in communication strategy, design and photography, as well the establishment of new frontiers in print."

The prints offered within Armstrong's Body of Work Casino Collection, many of which feature top models from around the world, feature stunning UV-printed effects and unique, tactile-contoured finishes made possible with VersaUV technology.
