Cassign is Supercharging Their Performance with the TrueVIS XP-640
Cassign | Australia
Cassign is a general, local, family-owned sign shop that mainly services clients in south-west Victoria. They also have a manufacturing & fabrication division that supplies, installs & manages signage nationally for a select number of corporate clients. Known for their friendly and helpful service and immaculate work, Cassign has grown steadily for over two decades.
We’ve always been Roland DG supporters since our first SP-300, roughly 20 years ago... there's no comparison when it comes to build-quality and output potential.
Before
- Constraints in reproducible colour gamut and production output.
- Required to actively manage production to achieve quality and consistency of their applications.
After
- Adding the XP-640, alongside their two EJ-640s has allowed them to increase production speed and output.
- Vastly improved vibrancy and colour accuracy with minimal effort.
- Standalone colours are brighter and more impressive.
Cassign was founded in 1983 by David Cassidy, who retired in April 2024. The business is now in the hands of his sons, Brady and Claye Cassidy, along with their business partner Dan Vickery. Together, this new leadership team is guiding the company — and its 13 fully-qualified full-time staff — into the next chapter.
Staunch Roland DG Users
Brady Cassidy, Operations Manager says “We’ve always been Roland DG supporters since our first SP-300, roughly 20 years ago. Our EJ-640 machines have been (and continue to be) reliable workhorses.”
Although they’d considered the TrueVIS range of print cut devices in the past, the team at Cassign felt their workflow needs were better suited to operating separate printers to cutters. So when they saw the new release TrueVIS XP-640 Large Format Eco Solvent Printer launched in January 2025, they “jumped on it.”
XP-640 to take Cassign to the Next Level
Cassign’s main signage applications are external and vehicle signage so they have big expectations for their new production printer. Brady says “The XP will expand our potential colour output options and production speed, so I think it will improve the quality & consistency of our current applications.”
Already hard at work, their XP-640 is living up to expectations, prompting Brady to remark, “its quality, reliability and ease-of-use is as good as ever. Customer feedback has been really positive, especially on the standalone colours - mainly Red & Orange - but in general the colour vibrancy and accuracy, even on PMS colour matching, has been chalk and cheese.”

Roland DG Quality
When asked if he’d recommend Roland DG and its products to others, Brady’s reply is unequivocal; “We've always been die-hard Roland supporters, there's no comparison when it comes to build-quality and output potential.”
That’s a testimony we’re very proud to hear.
