2021

BN-20A Desktop Printer Cutter launched, a new, lower-cost addition to its VersaSTUDIO series of desktop inkjet printer cutters. The BN-20A is designed to be more affordable by offering a basic CMYK ink configuration, while maintaining the high performance and ease of use of a professional business printer.

After many years utilising 3PL warehouses, Roland DG Australia relocates its warehouse to a self-managed site in Belrose. The company now has greater control over the management of stock and supplies, creating greater efficiencies for internal and external stakeholders.

GR2-640 and GR2-540 vinyl cutters added to CAMM-1 series. The GR2 Series cutters are an ideal balance between affordable pricing and superior cutting performance, and are designed to integrate seamlessly with large format inkjet printers.

EUV5 orange and red UV-curable inks for use in the VersaUV LEC2 series UV printer cutters are added, expanding the colour gamut by approximately 20%. It is now possible to more accurately reproduce brand colours that were previously difficult, if not impossible.

VersaUV 64-inch LEC2-640 and 30-inch LEC2-330 wide format UV printer cutters launched, the latest in a series expanding the UV product line and providing significant improvements in printing expression and functionality.

2020

New Roland Academy Online Training courses commence, designed to support customers in lieu of face-to-face training. The 1 – 2 hour online courses explore some of the advanced features and functions of VersaWorks in a small group setting to encourage interaction with attendees.

IU-1000F Large Format UV LED printer launched in Australia. This flatbed printer is designed to deliver unsurpassed performance, and can print high quality graphics at incredible speeds directly onto 1220mm x 2440mm media boards with a 110mm height clearance.

Global launch of first print-only model in the TrueVIS series, the VF2-640 wide format inkjet printer inherits a host of functions from the TrueVIS VG2 Series printer cutters. With the addition of Orange and Green TR2 ink, the VF2-640 produces colours that were previously uncharted, resulting in stunning printed graphics.

During the COVID-19 pandemic, Roland DG Australia launched a webpage with a range of online resources to support customers. A “Power of Creativity” website was also launched by Roland DG Corporation the following month, to assist customers in restarting their businesses.

DGSHAPE ANZ announces the launch of DGSHAPE Finance, a dedicated finance program for the dental industry. The program offers tailored finance options for dental labs and dental practices purchasing DGSHAPE equipment. Bundled direct from the manufacturer, DGSHAPE Finance provides simple documentation, approval within 24 hours and fixed monthly payments making it easy for customers to obtain finance.

2019

DGSHAPE Corporation launched its latest decorating solution, the DE-3. DGSHAPE continues the legacy of Roland DG engraving with a new model that features laser-pointing technology, Ethernet connectivity, automatic depth regulation, and other intelligent enhancements.

DGSHAPE Corporation launches the LD-300 Laser Decorator, the next generation of DGSHAPE’s laser decorator technology. It is larger and more robust than the recently released LD-80, increasing the capability of foil decoration onto larger items.

Roland DG Australia launches the LV series laser engravers, the 29” LV-290 and 18” LV-180. The LV series uses a non-contact CO2 laser to engrave complex shapes and text with crisp edges at high speed out of plastics, wood, leather, paper, cork and much more.

Roland DG Australia announces new Roland DG Academy training course, Profit Through Personalisation, for new and existing customers looking to incorporate a personalisation solution into their business.

The VersaUV LEF2-200 benchtop UV printer is launched by Roland DG Corporation. 2018

DGSHAPE Corporation launches the world’s first laser foil decorator. The LD-80 Laser Decorator enables adding text, logos, and graphics in a variety of metallic and holographic foils to provide a premium, personalised appearance to small, off-the-shelf products.

DGSHAPE Corporation launches the DWX-42W, the successor to the popular DWX-4W wet milling machine. The DWX-42W can produce highly aesthetic restorations from the latest glass-ceramic and hybrid resins. A host of upgrades were made to the DWX wet platform for ease-of-use, stability, efficiency and precision.

Roland DG Australia launches Australia-wide Fixed Price Scheduled Servicing across its range of wide format printers. Carried out by Roland DG’s dedicated network of Accredited and Authorised Service Technicians, the program means that customers know the price of their service upfront, allowing them to more accurately plan the costs to their business.

Roland DG Australia launches Roland Rental Plus, an addition to the Roland Rental umbrella. Roland Rental Plus lets customers bundle extras such as preventative maintenance, an annual service provision and Roland Academy training courses into their finance package.

2017

Roland DG launches the GR-640/540/420 professional vinyl cutters, the latest additions to its CAMM-1 series. The GR series has been completely redesigned to deliver best-in-class cutting quality and productivity due to increased accuracy, speed, media versatility and additional state-of-the-art cutting features.

Roland DG Corporation released its first dental 3D printer, the DWP-80S, to assist in the production of dentures. Launched simultaneously, the DWX-52DC is the newest addition to the Company’s DWX series dental mills and incorporates several new automated functions for the unattended production of precision dental restorations.

 

VersaUV LEF-200 was added to Roland DG's lineup of benchtop UV printers. Delivering advanced media compatibility and workflow efficiency, the LEF-200 also features a new on-board Primer ink option.

2016

TrueVIS VG and SG

Roland DG has a colourful year with the release of the TrueVIS series of wide format inkjet printer cutters. With advanced new FlexFire print heads and TrueVIS INK, the powerful VG series and cost-effective SG series of TrueVIS printer cutters offer unparalleled colour quality to bring prints to life.

MODELA MDX-50

The release of the MODELA MDX-50 marks a milestone for benchtop CNC milling. With automated milling features, it provides unmatched ease-of-use and enables users of all abilities to mill functional parts with incredible quality on a wide range of materials. It represents the ideal solution for short-run prototyping and educational applications.

Metaza MPX-95

Roland DG introduces new and improved photo impact printing with the METAZA MPX-95. A low-cost solution for adding photos or precision data onto giftware, tools or surgical equipment, it features a removable base for imprinting onto large items — turning valuable items like golf clubs into even more unique and pro table products.

VersaUV LEF-300

The release of the VersaUV LEF-300 flatbed printer offers users the opportunity to create their own image factory and put product customisation into overdrive. With a 30” print width, four print heads and two UV-LED lamps, the LEF-300 enables faster printing onto larger items in higher quantities.

Roland DG updated the Sydney Creative Centre with a new design, showcasing new artwork and a wide variety of products made by Roland DG devices.

2015

Texart XT-640

Roland DG added to its innovative dye sublimation printing technology with the introduction of the Texart XT-640. Featuring dual-print heads to increase production speed and 7-droplet technology to maximise colour quality, the XT-640 was built to produce high-volume apparel, soft signage, and promotional merchandise.

SOLJET EJ-640

The SOLJET EJ-640 Wide Format Colour Printer represents the first of Roland DG’s next generation of printers. Developed for busy, high-volume shops that are looking for quality output at high speeds, it features dual staggered print heads and new Roland DG EJ INK system with running costs of up to 35% less than competitive devices.

DWX-51D DWX-4W dental mills

Roland DG has continued its innovation in dental milling with the release of two new machines. Roland DG’s first wet dental mill, the DWX-4W was created for precise and uncomplicated wet-milling of glass ceramics and composite resins. In addition, Roland DG released the DWX-51D dry milling machine for the quick and effortless milling of zirconia and other materials.

CAMM-1 GS-24 desktop cutter

Roland DG redefined “cutting-edge” with the release of the CAMM-1 GS-24, Roland DG’s most advanced desktop cutter ever. With perforated cutting, overlap cutting and the ability to cut thick substrates, the GS-24 is fast and versatile and makes easy work of vehicle graphics, decals, decorated apparel and other graphics.
