During 2018, Roland DG Australia celebrates a milestone 30 Years of business in Australia. Established in 1988, the company was one of the first international subsidiaries of Roland DG Corporation Japan. Since then, Roland DG Australia has grown to become a leading supplier to the Australian sign and display industry, and the 3D and Dental CAD/CAM markets.

1988

Roland DG Australia is established as one of the first international subsidiaries of Roland DG Corporation Japan. Roland DG Australia was founded by Mr John Egan in 1988, as an offshoot of Roland Corporation (Music) Australia.

1998

Roland DG Australia Celebrates 10 Years in Business.

 

 

 

2001

Roland DG Australia, moves into new premises in Dee Why, Sydney, sharing the space with Roland Corporation (Music) Australia.

 

 

2004

Grand Opening of Roland DG’s headquarters in Frenchs Forest, Sydney.

 

 

2006

Roland DG Australia launches Roland Academy training, with the first course being a VersaWorks Print and Cut Seminar.

 

 

2007

Opening of new office in Surrey Hills, Melbourne.

 

 

2007

Roland DG launches Roland Rental, designed to make it easy to purchase and pay new business investments. Today, over 1100 purchases have been financed by Roland Rental.

 

 

2008

Roland DG Australia Celebrates 20 Years in Business, with a celebration event on the Starship Sydney.

Roland DG Australia launches an industry first 5 Year ‘Heads n All’ Warranty, which today has not been matched by its competition.

Roland DG Australia in conjunction with 3M complete Australasia’s, and possibly the world’s largest vehicle wrap, wrapping the Stone Brothers Racing race transporter.

2008

Roland DG Australia launches its Cartridge Recycle Program, aimed at reducing the company's impact on the environment.

 

2010

Opening of new office in Nunawading, Melbourne.

 

 

2011

Roland DG Australia announces Creative Awards, Roland DG’s first ever global awards contest. Whites Law Bindery win the regional competition with their ‘Mahogany Room’ entry.

 

2012

Roland DG Australia launches the ‘I’m Roland User’ campaign, a series of video testimonials of Roland users who share their experiences with Roland machinery and their dealings Roland DG.

2013

Roland DG Australia Celebrates 25 Years in Business, and celebrates the opening of their new Creative Centre with an open house event, and exclusive cocktail party.

 

 

2014

Roland DG Australia celebrates the opening of new office and Creative Centre in Mulgrave, Melbourne, with an open house event and exclusive cocktail party.

 

 

2016

Roland DG Australia re-launches its Cartridge Recycle Program, to better streamline the collection and subsequent recycling process.

 

 

2017

Roland DG Australia launches the Mobile Imagination Centre (MIC) to take its Creative Centre and RolandClinic concepts on the road.

 

 

2018

Roland DG Australia celebrates 30 Years in business at the Visual Impact Expo in Brisbane, Queensland.
